The first Apple Event of 2022 was held on March 8 and during this event the Silicon Valley tech giant announced quite a few exciting new products and updates. This is all that you’ve missed.
Apple introduced a new version of their good old iPhone SE 2020: the iPhone SE 2022. Also known as the iPhone SE 3, this model still features the home button and Touch ID but now it also comes equipped with the powerful A15 Bionic chip improving the camera system and providing better battery life. In addition, the third gen iPhone SE also supports 5G. However, all this increased performance does come with an increased price tag too. You can order the new iPhone SE from March 18 for €530.
Although the specs of the iPhone 13 and the mini-version remain the same, Apple did give their showpiece’s design an update by now delivering it in two awesome shades of green. These new colors give customers even more options when choosing their iPhone, and we can’t wait for them to take advantage of all the iPhone 13 lineup offers (found here), says Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.
In addition to the iPhone related announcements, Apple also released the iPad Air 5 during the March 2022 Apple Event. The new tablet now runs on the M1 chip which is the same processor used in 2020 MacBooks. Because of that, the new iPad Air 5 is over 50% faster than the 4th generation iPads while also covering 5G connectivity, faster USB-C charging and a 12MP front-facing camera.
Maybe the biggest announcement Apple made during their ‘Peek Performance Event’ on March 8 was the introduction of Mac Studio, a new Apple desktop system powered by either a M1 Max or M1 Ultra chipset with peak graphical performance best experienced on the corresponding 27-inch Studio Display screen. The new Studio system packs more punch than an iMac while being more compact than the Mac Pro. Great for when you’re looking for something to work and play on.
